What’s Happening in Wolverhampton on World AIDs Day…

November 30, 2011 in Projects & Events

World AIDS Day 1 December is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Show your support for those living with HIV and AIDS and commemorate people who have died.

Since the first diagnosis of HIV was made 30 years ago, there have been 115,000 infections diagnosed in the UK alone. Of these, 27,000 cases progressed to AIDs and 20,000 people have died.

To find out your local testing centre please visit: http://www.tht.org.uk/contactus/thtmidlands for local Terrence Higgins Trust’s within the Midlands.

Join Barbara Nice (and Judy Garland) for an outrageous sing-a-long to this cult camp classic.

In this charming cult film based on the popular L. Frank Baum stories, Dorothy and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado’s path and somehow end up in the land of Oz. Here she meets some memorable friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage.
